Hello Purefoy Families,

We had another great week at Purefoy Elementary! Even with holiday cheer occupying our little one’s heads, we accomplished so much in the classroom. I was in Kindergarten a lot this week. It is so enjoyable to see the tremendous growth as we move into midyear. This week I was in Mrs. Herron’s class observing her teach writing. Students were taking a small moment and writing about it. Wow, they worked so hard during independent writing time. They focused on one moment and wrote great stories. A little boy shared going to the tree lot with his father and how much fun he had. It was awesome to get to hear his and others stories. Great Job Kindergarten!!

We have one more week before we start our Winter Break, please make sure to check the lost and found. We are donating the items on January 13th.

Reminders:
• Polar Express Day is Thursday, December 15th, students can wear their PJ’s to school.
• 2nd Grade Winter Program is Thursday, December 15th at 6:30PM
• Yearbook sales are closing soon. Please be sure to order your yearbook by clicking the link on our school website. See the attachment for more information.
• If you are coming to visit the school, please be mindful of the fire lanes and designated parking areas. We are aware that tickets have been issued for parking in non-designated areas including the grass lot in front of the school.
