Purefoy Elementary

Dear Purefoy Families,




It was a really nice week at Purefoy! I visited a lot of classrooms this week; it is so much fun to see our kiddos grow and learn. I think Kindergarten is so exciting during December/January because the classroom environment changes so much. Teachers are no longer doing most of the questioning and prompting, our children are now becoming more and more independent. I was in Mrs. Hawkins room during math problem solving as she read the problem aloud, students were working independently first to think, solve and write their answer. This is quite a switch from earlier in the year! I loved seeing their thinking and evidence.



We have two more weeks of hard work ahead before our holiday break. Have a wonderful weekend!
